Andy Medici covers energy, green government, fleets, facilities as well as security and property issues for the Federal Times.

Before coming to the Federal Times, he worked for a year at specialized news service BNA covering Congress and government regulation.

Before that he managed a community newspaper in Pittsburgh, and helped launch a professional interest magazine. He also earned a Masters degree in journalism and public policy from American University.

Born in Evanston Ill., and raised in Northern Virginia, Andy has interned at print publications, television stations and for the daily student newspaper at the University of Pittsburgh. He has won both state awards from the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association and a national award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

He has a bachelors degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a masters from American University.
